The five member Utility Commission advises the City Council and staff in all matters pertaining to Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) and other utility services such as water, sewer, gas, and the investor-owned electric utility serving parts of the city. The Utility Commission also reviews and advises the City Council on the budget for the Moreno Valley Utility and makes recommendations on all Moreno MVU capital improvements and rates, and responding to requests and concerns of the public relating to utility issues.
