City of Moreno Valley Update on China Flight at March Air Reserve Base
For immediate release: January 29, 2020
A flight from Wuhan, China, carrying American diplomats and family members landed today at the March Air Reserve Base (MARB) in Riverside County. The passengers are being quarantined and evaluated for any symptoms of illness.
The City has confidence in America's system of public health, the most advanced in the world. Nothing that City officials have been told about the continuous health monitoring of these passengers for symptoms of coronavirus has given any cause for alarm.
While the City was not consulted regarding the federal government's decision to land the flight at MARB, the City is aware that these returning passengers are American patriots who serve our nation overseas and has offered its full support to March Air Reserve Base and Riverside University Health System Medical Center.
