Hazardous Materials and Electronic Waste Collection Event to be Held on April 20

Moreno Valley residents can easily dispose of hazardous materials and electronic waste for free during the City’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Electronic Waste (E-Waste) Collection Event on Saturday, April 20 at the City Corporate Yard.
The City of Moreno Valley, in partnership with the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources, is providing residents this opportunity to keep hazardous waste out of the county landfills.
Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Collection Event
Saturday, April 20: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
City Corporate Yard
15670 Perris Boulevard, Moreno Valley
The HHW and E-Waste Collection Event will accept residentially generated HHW from Riverside County residents. Business or non‐profit waste will not be accepted.
Residents are allowed multiple trips, but are limited to 125 pounds or 15 gallons of material per trip. Individual containers should not exceed five gallons or weigh more than 50 pounds.
The HHW and E-Waste Collection Event will accept:
- Household products (used chemicals, paint, pesticides, lightbulbs, etc.)
- Used motor oil, antifreeze, and fuel
- Household and automotive batteries
- Sharps (needles/syringes or lancets)
- Electronic wastes (televisions, computers, VCRs, telephones, etc.)
The HHW and E-Waste Collection Event will NOT accept:
- Explosives
- Radioactive waste
- Ammunition
- Asbestos waste
- Compressed gas cylinders over 40 pounds
- Infectious or medical waste (other than sharps)
- Controlled substances
- Bulky Items (sofas, mattresses, appliances, used tires, etc.)
The HHW and E-Waste Collection Event supports the City’s Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful Program through the promotion of an active and engaged community where we work together to beautify our shared environment.
