Council Member Jeffrey Giba Re-appointed to Statewide Transportation, Communication & Public Works Policy Committee

For immediate release: November 6, 2017

Giba

The League of California Cities re-appointed Council Member Jeffrey Giba to the Transportation, Communication & Public Works Policy Committee.

“I have been actively serving our community by advocating for transportation needs for several years in different capacities,” said Council Member Giba. “I am honored to continue serving in this capacity, and as a staunch champion for the region’s transportation needs, I understand the urgency of bold policies that will benefit the Moreno Valley community.”

The Transportation, Communication, and Public Works (TCPW) Policy Committee reviews both state and federal legislation as it relates to issues of transportation funding, construction, public works, telecommunications, and other related areas. The practice of the Committee is to recommend to the League board of directors preliminary positions on legislation based on existing League positions, adopted annual conference resolutions, and the collective knowledge and experience of Committee members.

The League of California Cities is an association of California city officials who work together to enhance their knowledge and skills as elected leaders, exchange information, and combine resources so that they may influence policy decisions that affect cities across the Golden State.
