City of Moreno Valley Hosts Day of the Dead Celebration

The Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department will host a special Day of the Dead Celebration on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This family friendly event will be held at the Conference and Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street.

Day of the Dead is a time to celebrate and commemorate the memories of departed loved ones. Join the community for this evening of exciting entertainment, which includes live music, dancing, authentic food, crafts for kids, Day of the Dead altar displays, and a curated vendor village with many artisan crafts for sale.

The vendor village will feature paintings, jewelry, handmade crafts, a face painting station and more. Local food vendors La Plaza Mexican Grill, La Vaquita Bakery, and Helados La Michoacana Ice Cream will provide a delicious array of authentic cuisine. Moreno Valley’s Day of the Dead festivities will showcase performances from local Folklorico dancers, Mariachis, and Danzon.

Admission to this event is free. Be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy this open-air event!
