Free Screening of “The Book of Life”
The Moreno Valley Arts Commission will acknowledge the Day of the Dead with a special event on Friday, November 4 at 6:45 p.m. at the Conference & Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street.
The event will include a free screening of the animated adventure, The Book of Life. The film features the voices of Zoe Saldana, Channing Tatum, Christina Applegate and Ice Cube. The movie highlights a museum tour guide who takes a group of detention school students on a secret museum tour where they learn from the Book of Life, the story of the Mexican town of San Angel.
Craft vendors will be selling theme products commemorating the Day of the Dead. Local food vendors will be on site selling tacos, churros, and hot chocolate. The first 100 youth in attendance will receive free luminary bags and tea lights.
