Players Invited to Join Team MoVal
in the Mayor’s Cup Basketball Challenge
The City of Moreno Valley is looking for men and women to represent the City in the first Mayor’s Cup Basketball Challenge. This tournament will be hosted by the City of Moreno Valley at the Conference and Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street, on Saturday, October 15. This tournament will match teams from numerous cities in San Bernardino and Riverside counties as they compete to see who has the best team in the Inland Empire.
Interested players and coaches are encouraged to apply for a spot on Team MoVal! Coaching applications must be submitted by August 19th, and player applications must be submitted by August 25th. Proof of residency must be presented with the application. An open tryout and skills assessment will be held on Saturday, August 27 at the Conference and Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street, beginning at 9am. There is no cost for residents to participate in the tryout or the tournament.
Interested coaches and players must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Participants must be current Moreno Valley residents or City Employees
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older
- Participants cannot be active professional or college players
