“Parks Make Life Better” Photo Contest Winners
The City’s Parks and Community Services Department celebrated “Parks and Recreation Month” by hosting a photo contest challenging residents to demonstrate how “Parks Make Life Better” in Moreno Valley. The City received more than 50 photographs from residents who captured special moments with family and friends at a number of parks and recreational facilities throughout the City.
The City’s Arts Commission awarded the following participants:
First Place – Viola Castelazo (John F. Kennedy Park, 15115 Indian Street)
Second Place – Edgar Aguilar (Celebration Park, 14965 Morgan Avenue)
Third Place – Lucia Morfin (Shadow Mountain Park, 23239 Presidio Hills Drive)
The first, second, and third place winners will be recognized at the Arts Commission meeting on July 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Conference and Recreation Center.
The City thanks those who participated and encourages residents to continue exploring ways for parks and recreation programs to inspire creativity and show how park experiences foster and support the quality of life in Moreno Valley.
