Earth Day Mulch Give Away Event

Mulch Give Away EventIn celebration of Earth Day 2016, the City of Moreno Valley will host a Mulch Give Away Event on April 23, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the City Corporate Yard located at 15670 Perris Boulevard (between John F. Kennedy Drive and Iris Avenue). Mulch will be provided free of cost to Moreno Valley residents only. The City will provide one truck load or 100 gallons of mulch per party, multiple trips are welcomed. Each resident who visits the City’s Twitter and Facebook pages and #movalrecycles will be entered into a drawing for an Earth Day prize pack.

The mulch that will be given away is processed from the City’s tree trimming services. Although the contents of the mulch have been screened, it may include a small portion of non-greenwaste debris. Tools and on-site supervision will be provided to assist residents with loading the mulch. The mulch event complements the City’s efforts to raise awareness of Earth Day’s significance and the need to reduce each resident’s carbon footprint to ensure a cleaner, greener Moreno Valley. If you have any questions, please contact the City’s Recycling Program at (951) 413-3109.
