Free Used Oil Filter Exchange & Recycling Event
The City of Moreno Valley will host a Free Used Oil Filter Exchange & Recycling Event on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the O’Reilly Auto Parts store located at 24021 Alessandro Boulevard from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. In exchange for a used oil filter, Moreno Valley residents will receive a new, free oil filter at the event. There will be a limit of two filters per person. Residents will be required to show a photo ID or utility bill as proof of residency.
The goal of this event is to promote the importance of recycling hazardous waste. Since 1987, it has been illegal to dispose of used motor oil in sewers, drainage systems, surface or ground waters, or onto the land or in the trash. This event is also one of several Keep Moreno Valley Beautiful (KMVB) initiatives to provide residents a free and environmentally safe way to properly recycle used oil and/or dispose of other household hazardous waste.
