Joint Study Session with the City Council and Planning Commission
on Hillside Residential Development
The City of Moreno Valley City Council and Planning Commission will be conducting a Joint Study Session on the City’s requirements, standards and future interests for Hillside Residential development.
Properties located within Hillside Residential zones are located primarily in the sloping hillside areas at the City’s northern limits between Perris Boulevard and Pigeon Pass Road, between Kitching Street and Reche Canyon Road and along the base of Box Springs Mountain. Additional potential Hillside Residential development could include land located within the City’s Sphere of Influence along the eastern City limits.
Topics to be explored at the session will include:
- What unique opportunities does hillside residential development provide for the City?
- What are other cities doing in their hillside neighborhoods?
- Are current City regulations appropriate and consistent with stakeholder interests?
These questions and more are expected to be explored at this Study Session by the two principal decision making bodies that guide and govern land development in our City.
Members of the community are encouraged to attend the Joint Study Session that will be held on Thursday, October 29th at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at 14177 Frederick Street.
