Heat Alert Activates City’s Cooling Centers

A heat alert for cool center activation has been triggered in the City of Moreno Valley. With temperatures expected to remain above 100 degrees for the next five days in most Riverside County cities, individuals susceptible to heat, such as the elderly and young children are encouraged to locate a cool center if an air conditioned home is unavailable.

The designated cool centers in Moreno Valley are located at:

  • Moreno Valley Senior Center

  • Moreno Valley Library

    Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    Friday- 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Sunday 12 noon - 5:00 p.m.

People with the following symptoms should try to remain in a cool place and drink water to prevent dehydration: headache, dizziness, weakness or muscle pains, and nausea or vomiting.
