Code Compliance Division Seeking Volunteers
The City of Moreno Valley Code Compliance Division is currently accepting applications for volunteers to help make a difference in our community! We are looking for volunteers to help preserve the community, enhance property values and improve the overall quality of life throughout the City.
Examples of duties are as follows:
- Removing signs from the public right-of-way
- Identifying locations of abandoned shopping carts throughout the City
- Assisting in the identification of specific violations as assigned by the Code Compliance Supervisor
- Educating the public on City Standards and Regulations
- Clerical duties to assist support personnel
How to become a Code Compliance volunteer:
- Obtain an application from the Volunteer Coordinator
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid California Driver License and proof of insurance
- Successfully complete the application process, including an interview and background check
- Volunteer must not have a record of conviction of a serious offense, or numerous convictions of minor offenses
All volunteers who are successful in the selection process will receive all necessary training to carry out the tasks outlined above. All volunteers will report directly to the Code Compliance Supervisor.
