$20,000 Grant Hinges on Community Votes

Online "votes" from Moreno Valley residents can garner $20,000 in grant funding to enhance park playground equipment.  The City of Moreno Valley is one of ten finalists competing for a Playground Equipment Grant through the being awarded as part of the Let's Play initiative. The City is asking for support from members of the community by voting for Moreno Valley.

The grant will be used to replace the old playground equipment at Hidden Springs Park.  In addition to providing a neighborhood play site, this park also serves as the playground for students at Hidden Springs Elementary School.

Voting began June 15 and will end June 26. Here's how you can vote for new playground equipment for our City:

  • Visit: Let's Play's Official Voting Page
  • Click on the "Vote Now" button and select the MoVal video as your voting choice.
  • You will be redirected to Facebook.   
  • You can vote up to once a day. 

Let's Play is an initiative launched in 2011 by Dr. Pepper Snapple Group to provide the tools, places and inspiration to make play a daily priority. In partnership with the nonprofit organizations KaBOOM! and Good Sports, Let's Play is working to eliminate the 'play deficit' by building and improving play spaces and providing grants for athletic equipment and gear.
