City of Moreno Valley Hosts Youth and Teen Flag Football League
at New Lasselle Sports Park
The Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department is currently accepting registrations for the upcoming Youth and Teen Flag Football League. The program is open to youth ages 8 - 13 and will provide skills development and recreational games for players of all levels. All participants are asked to attend a skills assessment that will be held on March 7th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street. After team selections, practices will follow until games begin in late April. Games will be held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The cost is $75 for Moreno Valley residents and $98 for non-residents.
“We are excited to host our Youth Flag Football League at the City’s newest recreation facility,” said Sr. Recreation Program Leader, Markita Smith. The Lasselle Sports Park was opened in September of 2014 and boasts 3 football fields, a concession facility, restrooms, a walking path, and two playgrounds.
