City Hosts Program to Educate Residents about Asthma
The City is hosting an Asthma Education Workshop to provide education about asthma on Tuesday, February 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Moreno Valley Public Library. The workshop is part of an increasing effort to help provide the community with information that may improve overall quality in the lives of its residents.
Since asthma is the leading chronic illness in children in the United States and Moreno Valley is largely made up of families with children under 18 years of age, we hope to help many families in this area. It is well documented that Moreno Valley residents contribute to emergency room visits related to trouble with asthma.
The workshop will be presented by an expert in asthma education and is specifically designed to help adults, children, families, and seniors learn about how to control and manage their asthma. The upcoming workshop will also teach individuals about asthma symptoms and identify resources available in the local community.
The February 3rd workshop will be presented by the Riverside County Department of Public Health. The Library is located at 25480 Alessandro Blvd.
