Special Deals on Pet Adoptions
The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter is working to save more animals' lives. There are several opportunities to adopt a dog or cat at discounted rates in July.
Five Dollar Fridays Friday
July 11th, July 18th & July 25th cats and kittens will be available for only $5. These special adoption prices include spay or neuter surgery, 3-in-1 vaccination, and a HomeAgain microchip.
Who Let the Dogs Out?
A weekend of pet adoption fun is happening this Friday, July 11th, Saturday, July 12th, and Sunday, July 13th. The special pet adoption event will be held at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter as part of the summer long 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. The special event will run all day to help homeless companion animals find life-long loving homes.
Paws to Read
Saturday, July 19th marks a special day at the Moreno Valley Library as Shelter staff will have several pets available for adoption by Library patrons. The Library-based event is from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Moreno Valley Library located at 25480 Alessandro Blvd.
Not including Five Dollar Fridays for cats, the discounted adoption rates for July's events are:
- Dogs and puppies for $50
- Cats and kittens will be available for $25 on Saturday and Sunday.
The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter was selected to join 49 other Animal Shelters nationwide to participate in the 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge competing for significant prize allocations by saving more pets lives from June 1st through August 31st. Challenge winners will have the opportunity to earn $600,000 in prize grants, including a $100,000 grand prize for the shelter that increases the most saved lives. Grant funds awarded to the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter will be used further to promote pet adoptions and provide more spay and neuter services in the community.
Pets adopted at any of these special events that have not already been altered will stay for surgery and be available to go home on the afternoon of the day surgery is scheduled.
