City to Participate in
National Anti-Bullying Rally

Come out to GET PLUGGED IN! This anti-bullying rally and community event is set for this Saturday, May 10 at Badger Springs Middle School 24850 Delphinium Ave., from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This community event supports concerted efforts being made by the City’s Safe Routes to School program (MVSRTS) to keep Moreno Valley’s children safe on their way to and from school each day.

GET PLUGGED IN is designed by the MVSRTS partners to be an exciting day for everyone and its emphasis will be on community empowerment. At the event, participants can expect to:

  • Have a great time with live bands, a DJ, food trucks, face painting, many vendors and PRIZES.
  • Be encouraged to practice tolerance of others and form a cohesive community stance against all forms of bullying.
  • Learn more about Safe Routes to School and find out how to obtain one at all school sites in Moreno Valley!
  • Get plugged into community wide programs that promote health and welfare of children.
  • Learn about bike safety while participating in an interactive bike rodeo and learn how to repair your own bike. There will also be free helmets and fittings.

The City of Moreno Valley supports the program by utilizing Safe Routes to School (SR2S) and Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grants to provide funding for infrastructure and pedestrian/bike education, contracting with Community Now to implement the City’s Safe Routes to School program as well as providing background checks and volunteer training.
