Moreno Valley Animal Shelter to Hold
Cinco de Mayo Pet Adoption Event

The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter will be holding its First Annual Cinco de Mayo pet adoption promotion on Saturday, May 3rd, Sunday May 4th, and on Cinco de Mayo Monday May 5th. The promotional event will be held at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter located at 14041 Elsworth Street during normal business hours. The purpose of the pet promotion event is to help homeless companion animals find life-long loving homes.

Discounted adoption rates apply during this weekend-long event. Dogs and puppies will be available for $50 and, cats and kittens will be available for $25. These adoption prices include spay or neuter surgery, 5-in-1, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations, along with a HomeAgain microchip. Retail value for these services is $180 for dogs and $103 for cats. Pets available for adoption at this event will be altered and available to go home immediately with their new families.

Pets adopted that have not already been altered will be available to go home with their new family after being spayed or neutered at the Moreno Valley Veterinary Clinic. Animal Shelter staff will schedule the day when their new pet will be spayed or neutered which will be available for pick up the afternoon surgery has been scheduled.

“This pet promotion event gives us an opportunity to encourage people to provide a loving, caring home for animals that need someone to care for them,” said Steve Fries, Moreno Valley’s Animal Services Division Manager. “Shelter pets offer unconditional love and companionship for many years, and we have many different pets to choose from that will make great family pets.”
