“Pet in the Park” Adoption Event Scheduled at Sunnymead Park

The Moreno Valley Animal Shelter working cooperatively with the City’s Parks and Community Services Department will be holding a “Pet in the Park” pet adoption event at Sunnymead Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The purpose of this pet promotion event is to help homeless companion animals find life-long loving homes.

Special discounted adoption rates apply during this pet-friendly event. Dogs and puppies will be available for $50.00 while cats and kittens will be available for $25.00. These adoption prices include spay or neuter surgery, 5 in 1, bordetella and rabies vaccinations, along with a HomeAgain microchip.

Pets available for adoption at Sunnymead Park on March 23rd will be altered and available to go home immediately with their new families. Can’t find that special pet at the “Pet in the Park” pet adoption event?  Visit the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter on April 12th and take advantage of the same special discounted adoption rates. Pets available for adoption that have not already been altered will be available for their new owners to pick up on Monday, April 14th.

“This pet promotion event gives us another opportunity to encourage people to provide a loving, caring home for shelter pets that need someone to care for them,” said Ruth Guillén, Animal Services Office Supervisor. “Shelter pets have always proven to be the best companions and a great addition for families and individuals providing years of unconditional love and happiness. We have many pets to choose from that will not disappoint you!”
