Earth Day Free Mulch Give Away,
Help with Springtime Gardening
To celebrate Earth Day 2014, the Moreno Valley Solid Waste & Recycling Program is hosting a Free Mulch Give Away event to help City residents spruce up their gardens. The event is Saturday, April 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the City Corporate Yard located at 15670 Perris Boulevard (between John F. Kennedy Drive and Iris Avenue).
Mulch will be available to Moreno Valley residents only. The City will provide one truck load or 100 gallons of mulch per party. Although the contents of the mulch have been screened, there may still remain a small portion of non-green waste matters in the mulch. Tools and on-site supervision will be provided. The event complements the City’s efforts to raise awareness of Earth Day’s significance and the need to reduce each resident’s carbon footprint to ensure a cleaner, greener Moreno Valley.
