Writers Launch Pad

Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department and the Moreno Valley Arts Commission are hosting “The Writers Launch Pad” on March 15, from 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street.  This is a free workshop that will focus on helping writers bring their work to market and launching their careers.

Presenters include author Graham Brown, who went from an unknown writer to a multi-book contract and from a new voice in the thriller genre to a co-author of Clive Cussler’s NUMA series.  Come hear about his journey from a writer that only dreamed of being published to a best-selling author.  He will be sharing about his journey to success and know-how at the Writer’s Launch Pad.

The line-up also includes Shelly Lowenkopf, author of the Fiction Writers Handbook and past president of the Mystery Writers of America.  Lowenkopf has served as editorial director for literary, scholarly, and general trade book publishers, seeing over 500 books through the editorial and production process.  He has also edited for several bestselling mystery authors.

Pre-registration is recommended, but not required to attend. Contact Eric von Mizener, Moreno Valley Arts Commission Member, at www.writerslaunchpad.org to register for this informative workshop. The deadline for registration is Thursday, March 13, at 5:00 p.m.
