Holiday Fun for Kids!
The Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department is excited about the many fun-filled holiday activities planned for December 2013.
The festive activities begin on Monday, December 9, with Santa Live. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., local children can speak to Santa Claus by calling him at 951.413.3059. The calls will be live and televised on the local channel MVTV-3. Santa will be available to listen to callers’ wish lists and there will also be prizes for children who correctly answer questions about Santa and his friends. This free event is available to children of all ages.
The Junior Chef’s Holiday Club is set for Tuesday, December 10, at the TownGate Community Center located at 13100 Arbor Park Lane from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Children 4 to 12 years of age will learn to make fantastic holiday treats. Recipes and taste tests of treats made during the evening will be available for children to take home. A fee of $8 for city residents does apply.
Additionally, the creative Holiday Craft Time will be held on Thursday, December 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the TownGate Community Center. Children 4 to 12 years of age will have the opportunity to make several special crafts that they can give to friends and family as gifts. A fee of $8 for city residents does apply.
The 2013 holiday events will conclude on Saturday, December 14, with both Breakfast with Santa and Snow Day to be held at the Conference and Recreation Center located on 14075 Frederick St. Children 2 to 12 years of age can join Santa from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for a merry celebration with games, crafts, and a breakfast made especially for them. Then, there will be a full day of snow fun from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. where children ages 13 years and under will have unlimited snow access, games, crafts, and a visit with Santa Claus. There is a $6 fee for Breakfast with Santa and a $5 fee for participation in the Snow Day.
