Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez Appointed to City Council
The Moreno Valley City Council has appointed Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez to fill the vacant City Council seat representing District 4.
Council Member Gutierrez is a Special Education Resource Specialist Teacher in the Moreno Valley Unified School District. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Reading at Moreno Valley College.
A graduate of Moreno Valley's Valley View High School, Council Member Gutierrez earned his Associate Degree at Moreno Valley College, his Bachelor's Degree from California Baptist University, a Master's Degree from American InterContinental University and a Doctoral Degree from Northcentral University.
Council Member Gutierrez owned and operated the Berrybean Café in Moreno Valley until its sale earlier this year and has been a member of the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Moreno Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
