Library Closed for Week of Labor Day
The City of Moreno Valley approved a public – private partnership with LSSI in June to manage Moreno Valley’s Public Library. Under the agreement, LSSI will re-establish 7-day service to our Library patrons, increase the current book and materials budget by 200 % per year, and save taxpayers more than $1.3 million over the five-year contract.
The transition to LSSI’s management will occur over Labor Day week. The Moreno Valley Public Library will close at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, and will remain closed through the Labor Day weekend and the following week. During the closure, staff will reorganize and shelve newly-ordered materials in preparation for re-opening under LSSI’s management.
The Library will re-open for business on Monday, September 9, at 9 a.m., with the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12 noon - 5 p.m.
The Moreno Valley Public Library is located at 25480 Alessandro Blvd. and is currently open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
