VIP Moreno Valley Project
Scheduled for City Council Public Hearing
The Planning Commission certified the VIP Moreno Valley’s Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on July 12, 2012. However, the certification has been appealed to the City Council.
The VIP Moreno Valley project, identified as Plot Plan PA09-0004 and Tentative Parcel Map No. 36162 (PA09-0012) proposes a 1,616,133 square foot warehouse distribution development on approximately 80 acres. The project is located within the Moreno Valley Industrial Area Plan (SP 208) at the southwest corner of Grove View Road and Perris Boulevard between Perris Boulevard and Indian Street at the City’s southern boundary.
The Final EIR contains responses to the comments that were received during the public review period, subsequent modifications to the text of the Draft EIR, and the proposed Mitigation Monitoring Program for the project. For your information and convenience, the EIR and Technical Appendices are available online for review at http://www.moval.org/index.shtml. Hard copies of the document can be reviewed during normal business hours at City Hall at the Planning Division counter or at the Moreno Valley Library.
The project and subsequent EIR has been scheduled for public hearing at the September 25, 2012 City Council Meeting in the Council Chamber at City Hall at 6:30 pm or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard. For more information on this project, contact Associate Planner Jeff Bradshaw at (951) 413-3224 or the Moreno Valley Planning Division at (951) 413-3206.
