Artists and Performers Sought For Moreno Valley's 2012 Artober Fest!

The Moreno Valley Arts Commission is seeking applications from performers and artists to participate in the City's 5th annual Artober Fest. This free, family-oriented cultural event is scheduled for:

DATE: Saturday, October 13, 2012
TIME: 11 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center 14075 Frederick Street in Moreno Valley

A fun-filled way to celebrate the arts with family and friends, Artober Fest is a free event featuring the work of local artists who display photography, painting, sculpture, musical performances, poetry, and much more. This free event has been growing larger every year since the first one in 2008. Last year, more than 1,300 people attended, with more than 300 performers, plus 30 artists and crafters showcasing their talents.

Booth spaces will be available for $25. All participants who plan to sell CDs, artwork, jewelry, crafts, etc., will need to submit an application to exhibit or perform for this festival and have a Moreno Valley business license. Free, one-day licenses may be available if you do not already have a business license – contact the Business License Office at 951-413-3080 to learn more. Performers who do not plan to sell tickets, CDs, etc. will only need to submit a "Performer's Application." Artists and performers may obtain more information and applications from the Cityʼs website at: www.moval.org, or by calling (951) 485-8414.

Families and friends from all over the area are invited to attend this wonderful day for celebrating the arts. There will be entertainment inside and outside, including painting demonstrations, poetry readings, and outstanding performances from singers, dancers, and musicians. In addition, plenty of great food and beverages will be available to purchase.

For further information, call the Parks & Community Services Department at 951-413.3280.
