Moreno Valley Independence Day Parade Award Winners Announced

The City of Moreno Valley announces the trophy winners for the 2012 July 4th Parade. The following winners were selected by the parade judges out of a total of 76 parade entries:

Sweepstakes: March Joint Powers Authority
Theme Trophy: March Field Air Museum
Mayor and Council Trophy: Boy Scouts of America – Cub Scout Pack 210
Chamber of Commerce Trophy: Integrated Care Communities
Outstanding Vehicle: John Hawkins, Riverside County Fire Chief and Abdul Ahmad, Fire Chief For The City Of Moreno Valley Fire Department
Most Humorous: Moreno Valley Elks Lodge #2697
Outstanding Commercial Entry: Kona-Ice
Outstanding Non-Commercial Entry: Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Musical Unit (Marching): Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps
Outstanding Musical Unit (Stationary): Dancing Images
Outstanding Musical Unit (Youth or Corps): Yamato Youth Band
Outstanding Marching/Drill Unit (16 Years or Younger): SGI-USA Youth
Outstanding Marching/Drill Unit (17 years and above): Bangladesh Community of Greater Riverside Area
Outstanding Equestrian Entry (Single Entry): Gracie the Horse-Owner Gina Lisa Gray Outstanding Equestrian Group Entry (More than one rider): The Equestrians of Moreno Valley

Broadcast live on MVTV-3, the City's local government access channel, the parade will also be available for viewing on the City's Web site and re-broadcast on Channel 3 at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. beginning July 16th. DVDs of the parade broadcast will be available for purchase from the City for $2.00.
