Deadline Approaching for Military Banner Program

The City of Moreno Valley continues to install Military Appreciation Banners that display residents' names, photos, and branches of service, in support of our local military personnel and to instill a sense of patriotism and pride throughout our community. Our goal is to honor and recognize those men and women who are currently serving, whether defending the home front or serving overseas.

Though applications may be submitted any time, the City is currently accepting banner and paver installation orders from the community for installation by the Memorial Day Ceremony.

Qualifications for a banner include: Honorees must be active duty military service personnel who are residents of Moreno Valley, who have immediate family residing in Moreno Valley, or who have graduated from a Moreno Valley high school. Applications are due by April 15 for a Memorial Day installation.

The military banner program is partially sponsored by the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Committee. As a result of their contribution, the total cost remaining cost for a banner to be created and installed on a city street light pole is $100.
